Boy, 11, makes chopper threat

A boy, 11, threatened to injure his mother with a chopper before being subdued after a 90-minute standoff with police and firemen yesterday. Firemen broke into the family's Tsz Wan Shan flat in Lok Wang House after the boy, who suffers from a mental disorder, went into the kitchen and returned with a chopper at about 1pm after his mother, 34, scolded him for not going to school.
