Remember Dr Susan Lewis (Sherry Stringfield, above)? Well, she's back, having lived in Arizona for the past five years until her sister moved away. Lewis is looking for work in the Chicago area and her old beau, Mark Greene (Anthony Edwards), helps her make contacts at other hospitals but finally persuades her to come back to County General, despite Kerry Weaver's objections. Will Greene's new wife Corday (Alex Kingston) approve of the new member of staff?

Meanwhile, things are going from bad to worse for Deb Chen (Ming-Na) as she has to attend a risk-management review with the unforgiving Weaver (Laura Innes), to discuss a patient who recently died under Chen's supervision.

Romance seems to be blossoming for Luka Kovac (Goran Visnjic), when Nicole, a beautiful French waitress with whom he flirted, comes looking for him at the hospital.

There's more fun and games at the White House as a State Department dinner looms.

President Jed Bartlet (Martin Sheen, above) boldly vetoes the 'Death Tax' bill, but his staff

members must scramble when they learn the House of Representatives has enough votes to immediately override his decision.

Meanwhile Josh (Bradley Whitford) tries to influence promising Governor Jack Buckland (Kevin Tighe), who is considering running against Bartlet for the Presidency.

China vs Costa Rica (live)

The first five minutes of this match in Kwangju, South Korea, will determine whether China coach Bora Milutinovic is getting through to his players.

Conscious that the mainlanders have failed to score in their past three games, the Serb has urged the nation's heroes to 'shoot on sight' in the one World Cup match they can conceivably win. Milutinovic has a point. China can press forward through the likes of Li Tie of Liaoning, Ma Mingyu of Sichuan and Li Xiaopeng of Shandong. But as last week's 2-0 debacle in Macau showed, China's midfield effort was wasted by forwards who dithered in front of goal. China hope top goalscorer, Dalian's Hao Haidong (above, centre), is fit to join Eintracht Frankfurt's Yang Chen upfront and revive an attack that has scored in only two of its past seven outings.

Costa Rica, whom Milutinovic took to the World Cup in 1990, have beaten Mexico and field Manchester City's Paolo Wanchope and Udinese's Winston Parks, but the remainder of 'The Ticos' are unknowns. China can beat them in a potentially entertaining game if they listen to Milu's advice.
