Are you looking for somewhere to party this weekend? Look no further than the Hong Kong Arts Centre's celebration of top local artists. The annual end-of-year exhibition is titled 'Nice Party' and will run until Monday. Ho Siu-kee, an award-winning artist who represented Hong Kong at the Venice Biennial last year and one of the Arts Centre's senior lecturers, said he wanted to make the event look more like a get-together than an exhibition. 'Teachers are responsible for teaching students about rights and wrongs. But there is no right or wrong in art and sometimes it is difficult to blend the roles of artist and teacher,' he said. What is special about this show is that it provides an opportunity for students to comment on their tutors' pieces. Other artists featured in the exhibition include Ho's colleagues Fiona Wong and Kacey Wong. Ho encouraged art lovers to treat the show as a party. He said this year's exhibition was different in that Art School students had helped to organise the event. The joint effort showed that arts education was mutual rather than one-way communication between teachers and students, Ho said. Check out Nice Party at 4-5/F, Pao Galleries, Hong Kong Arts Centre
