Commonwealth Bank Group has appointed Peter Fancke chief executive of wholly owned subsidiary CMG Asia in Hong Kong. Mr Fancke will remain as regional managing director and be responsible for CMG Asia's businesses in China and Vietnam.

In the past 30 years, Mr Fancke has held a range of executive positions in information technology, operations, customer service, business development and general management.

Mr Hobbs, assumes responsibility in Hong Kong for commercial operations, overseeing management of events, sponsorships and delegate sales.

Rebecca Kennedy joins as communications manager based in Hong Kong.

She will be responsible for overseeing the Casbaa Web site, development of the association's knowledge management capacity and media relations.
