Eagle Star Life benefits widen
EAGLE Star Life Assurance Co says it will step up its employee-benefit insurance service to meet rising demand.
The company said it would launch a new range of employee-benefit products next month, including such aspects medical insurance.
Bernard de Petrucci, Asia Pacific regional managing director, said existing programmes did not cover rising expectations of clients.
He said: ''There is a demand for it. We have now re-looked at that market.'' While expecting keen competition, he said: ''There's scope for other players to enter.'' The company claims a 7.5 per cent to 10 per cent market share in the individual life insurance sector in the territory.
Mr de Petrucci was speaking after the signing of a six-year lease on more than 115,000 sq ft at Cityplaza 3 in Taikoo Shing.
The lease, with Swire Properties, begins in mid-1995 and contains an option for a three-year renewal.
