To celebrate the fifth anniversary of the handover, the Government has invited the award-winning Military Band of China's People's Liberation Army (PLA) to play their favourite pieces.

It is the only band to have state-level status on the mainland and it will perform in Hong Kong next month.

Also on the programme will be performances by China's top singers, dancers, musicians and conductors, and an exhibition of  Chinese boxing by the PLA.

The celebrations will take place at the Hong Kong Coliseum at 8 pm on July 6.

Tickets are now available from Urbtix at $60, $100, $150 and $200 (half-price for full-time students).
