IT is a sad irony that Watson's the Chemist, who presumably claim to promote health, should openly sell a large range of cigarettes at their cash desks. It is even sadder that when the dispensary counter happens to be closed, Watson's refuses to sell Nicorette chewing gum although it needs no prescription, contains less nicotine and has none of the 2,000 or so toxic chemicals in cigarettes.
