Flora Cheong-Leen, Hong Kong's most famous ballerina who is now a fashion designer, is moving to Los Angeles with her fiance, American-born Chinese actor Russell Wong Sun-tak (The Joy Luck Club).
'I decided two months ago,' she said. 'I'm starting a film-costume company with Russell. I'll help design the clothes. Russell is the best Chinese actor in the States and [presumably using his film contacts] he will help look for buyers.' Wong, 39, has done little acting of late. He has been based in Beijing with Cheong-Leen, 42, working on his menswear label, RGW (Russell Gerard Wong), while his fiancee worked on her label Tian Art. Her daughter Claudine, 14, from her marriage with Esprit owner Michael Ying Lee-yuen, was enrolled at the Beijing International School.
Last August, the couple (below) became engaged but Cheong-Leen denied rumours she had recently wed Wong in secret.
