Korean conglomerate LG Group's LG Chem sports car, which set a world record for electric vehicles at the Pike Peak International Hill Climb rally in the United States last week.
The secret was in the battery - a lightweight, lithium-ion polymer battery developed by LG Chem, the chemical subsidiary of LG Group.
Driver Tim Eckert said: 'This car is on the cutting edge of electric-powered technology. Some day, the world's supply of oil is going to run out and this will be the car of the future.'
