David Watt has been appointed executive director for North Asia of DTZ Debenham Tie Leung. Mr Watt will be responsible for expanding the firm's effort in the region, in particular Hong Kong and the mainland, as well as maximising business opportunities arising from China's admission to the World Trade Organisation and the influx of multinational companies. As head of DTZ International, Mr Watt spent the past four years overseeing equity consolidation in the group's European operations. Before this, for almost 16 years he had been specialising in work for retail clients and co-ordinated the DTZ European retail team. Through the late 1980s and early 1990s, his mainstream activity was related to development advice in projects throughout Europe and the Middle East on behalf of public authority and private clients. In Britain, he specialised in shopping centre development and turnaround work. Mr Watt retains his position as chairman of DTZ International and a member of the DTZ Holdings board. Edward Yeung Channels and alliances director PeopleSoft Mr Yeung will play a big role in driving the company's development in North Asia. He has more than 15 years' experience in sales, marketing, business development and management. Previously he was country manager for Greater China at Vignette, where he was responsible for operations in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Paul Sheehan Managing director, head of banking research, Asia ING Mr Sheehan will be responsible for spearheading the firm's pan-Asia banking research. Based in Hong Kong, he will report to Richard Jones, head of equity research, Asia. Previously Mr Sheehan was co-head of Asian bank research at Lehman Brothers. He will be joined by Bin Zhao, a United States corporate attorney. Arthur Fry Marketing manager Port of Long Beach With more than 20 years' maritime experience, Mr Fry becomes marketing manager of the trade and maritime services division, responsible for maintaining contacts with terminal operators and shipping lines. Daniel Poon Head of sales for Hong Kong ABN Amro Mr Poon has joined the bank's equities division. He joined from Kingboard Chemical Holdings, where he was strategic adviser to the board. Jenny Lee Vice-president of life administration New York Life Insurance Worldwide Ms Lee's main responsibility is to oversee the life administration department, including underwriting, policy administration and claims, and develop and manage customer service strategies. She joined the company in 2000.
