The son of an alleged mastermind behind a plot to defraud the Hang Seng Bank of more than $900 million in a credit scam was jailed for nine years as a Court of First Instance judge labelled him the 'trusted lieutenant of his father'. A jury found Ho Siu-hoi, 32, guilty of seven counts of conspiracy to defraud while Tam Kei-kwong, 50, was found guilty of three and Leung Chi-por, 52, of two. Mr Justice Peter Nguyen sentenced Tam and Leung to four years' jail on top of earlier 15-month sentences. Ho's father, Ho Chi-chun, vanished after investigators unravelled the plot, which took place between June 1995 and April 1998.
