Hong Kong's biggest annual book bonanza has long provided solace for many bookworms. Co-organised by Hong Kong's Trade and Arts Development councils and in its 13th year, the fair has attracted 370 publishers from the mainland, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau, Singapore and Canada to exhibit their latest titles. Magazines, CDs, stationery and software will also be available during this six-day event, which starts tomorrow. For visitors with children, this family-friendly event will also entertain with staged performances and handicraft workshops. For an additional $100, visitors may attend seminars with publishers from the mainland, Taiwan and Japan. Twenty-one local book critics and scholars will review 40 new Chinese-language titles and make recommendations. Scheduled books signings are also planned.
