TV romanticising gambling

NOWADAYS, there are a lot of television drama series, where gambling is the main theme of the story.

I find it really frustrating when yet another new drama is shown on the Chinese channels and once again, focuses on gambling.

This does not have a positive influence on viewers.

Children are very impressionable and therefore the most vulnerable group.

Some, seeing their favourite actors playing a character who is a card shark, may innocently imitate; practising card tricks and learning more about gambling.

These drama series make gamblers look heroic and set the scenes in elegant casinos.
