The hostile yet breathtaking wilderness of the Namib Desert, 1,250km of vast sand dunes running along the Skeleton Coast of Namibia, is the setting for this study of the Namaqua chameleon. There are few creatures that can tolerate the extreme temperatures and lack of rain here and the hardy and aggressive Namaqua chameleon is perhaps the most formidable predator on the dunes.

Dragons Of The Namib shows the unique desert adaptations of this lizard, searching out food and moisture, and follows one female, from shedding her skin to laying her clutch of eggs, and her struggle to protect them at any cost.
