When a case from his past is re-opened, Doggett (Robert Patrick, above) holds steadfast to his initial conclusions, which puts him at odds with the theories of Scully (Gillian Anderson) and Reyes (Annabeth Gish). DNA evidence exonerates a murderer whom Doggett helped incarcerate 13 years earlier and the obsessed agent desperately tries to put the man back in jail before he can strike again.

Greene (Anthony Edwards, above) and Corday (Alex Kingston) are terrified when their baby daughter is brought in, suffering from an accidental drug overdose. Lewis (Sherry Stringfield) treats a father and daughter who were injured after opening a letter bomb and Weaver (Laura Innes) seethes when Romano (Paul McCrane) gives some of her numerous duties to Lewis.
