Direct deals: Singapore Airlines has just introduced a direct flight from Hong Kong to Las Vegas which is only the third city (alongside London and Tokyo) outside the United States to operate non-stop flights to the vibrant entertainment centre.
Until March 31, 2003, SIA Holidays, the airline's holiday division, is offering five-day, three-night packages at six Las Vegas hotels ranging in price from $7,320 at the Aladdin (www.aladdincasino.com) to $8,360 at the Venetian (www.venetian.com), with a surcharge of $350-$750 per night if the stay coincides with a Friday or Saturday.
Prices include round trip economy flights, accommodation, daily breakfast (except at the Venetian), limousine transfers plus a range of 'bonus treats', including a three-hour night tour, unlimited rides on the Viva Las Vegas shuttle and free entry to the Stratosphere Tower.
