HSBC opens Shanghai centre

Global banking giant HSBC has opened its first centre in China to offer personal financial services to affluent individuals. The opening of HSBC's Premier Centre in Shanghai follows permission from the central bank in June to offer foreign-currency services to domestic residents in nine cities.
