Beached dolphin dies

The false killer whale that washed up on a beach off Sai Kung on Monday died yesterday amid claims that the operation launched to save it had been botched.

The man who first spotted the mammal at Tai Long Sai Wan claimed attempts to help it were 'disastrous'. He said three experts sent to the scene had released the dolphin too quickly, even though he warned them this would kill it.
