Canto flops for pop picker
1-MIN READ1-MIN
It seems music veteran Hans Ebert will not miss Canto-pop too much. A day after leaving his position as vice-president of Universal Music Asia, Ebert told SAR he did not listen to Canto-pop unless he had to professionally.
'But I do like Andy Hui and Jacky Cheung,' offered Ebert (right), who worked in the industry in Asia for more than two decades.
Before setting off for a holiday in his native Australia, Ebert offered some words of wisdom to the industry. 'I believe it always comes back to the quality of the music, which is the most important thing,' he said.

So how is the quality? 'You take a look. You tell me,' said Ebert, who will be returning to Hong Kong after his break.
Not so good then? 'You've answered that.'
