Check kept on queue jumpers

I REFER to the letters headlined ''Angered by queue jumpers'' and ''Stay in queue or lose your place'' (South China Morning Post, July 16 and 21) expressing concern over the placement of magazines and stools for reserving places in the queue outside Pokfulam Post Office at Chi Fu Fa Yuen on July 6.

There is no doubt that post offices get very busy on the first day of issue of special stamps. Customers anxious to buy our products, queue up early outside the post offices. They are usually self-disciplined and line up orderly.

We, however, note your readers' concerns and will make suitable arrangements in future.
