For you it is an evening of good music. For thousands of poor Chinese suffering from cataracts, it means hope.
Next week, the Millennium Youth Orchestra will stage a fund-raising performance for Lifeline Express, a charity that offers free operations for cataract patients in China.
Pieces from musicals such as Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera and more will be featured in the first half, followed by short pieces played by smaller groups of performers.
The performance will be energetic and fun, said the orchestra's musical director, Jennifer Ho Ka-wing.
'Our members are all aged between 13 and 25. They are energetic and lively,' she said.
Established in 1997, Lifeline Express helps cataract patients in remote parts of China to see again.
