Auyeung now $2.5m poorer

Hongkong (Sept 8): The Government has recovered $2.5 million of the $6.1 million former policeman Auyeung Kwan is known to have made from corruption.
The $2.5 million was all that could be found of the $6 million Auyeung controlled in the names of his mother-in-law and step-daughter.
The Crown settled out of court in July for the $2.5 million from the two women.
The Legal Department will try to recover the balance from Auyeung, presently serving a four-year sentence for having assets disproportionate to his official income.
