We refer to the concern over the safety of pedestrians in the vicinity of the German Swiss International School, as raised by one of your readers ('Untenable situation', South China Morning Post  July 9).

The school is making every effort to minimise any inconvenience or safety issues related to the traffic situation during school hours.

The school has now resumed normal operations after the summer holidays and would be pleased to meet the concerned resident to discuss the general situation and ways of improvement. I can be contacted on 2849 6216.
