You don't have to be a Nobel Prize-winning scientist to get served in Quarry Bay's Cafe Einstein, but a bit of lateral thinking helps. Lunchtime diners trapped in the restaurant last week reported neither light nor soundwaves travelled to the dozy staff. Experiments in shouting, waving and bouncing hand signals off ornamental mirrors also failed. Our diners sat around stumped, until - Eureka! - one of the guests picked up his mobile phone and dialled the number on the menu. 'Hello, Cafe Einstein,' a restaurant staffer said. 'Can I help you?'

'Yes,' the guest replied, 'can you turn around please?'
