Defunct Hong Kong band the Sisters of Sharon were obviously ahead of their time when it came to flashing a Hello Kitty vibrator on stage a couple of years ago.
A battery-operated vibrating stick featuring the famous cat is one of the latest hot products in Kitty-crazed Japan. And now its popularity has prompted company J-List to come up with a new version that features the equally well-known cat, Doraemon.
Apart from the fact that Doraemon has a mouth and Hello Kitty doesn't, both products are much the same, in that they are both branded as 'health items', and are officially 'vibrator shoulder massagers'.
They are only available in Japan but Hong Kong's Kitty or Doraemon fans can buy them on the Internet.
The company describes the items as nothing but 'a really cool ... vibrating stick that's made for massaging the neck and shoulder', according to its Web site that is posted with images of scantily clad young women.
