''DISABLED people have more abilities than handicaps'' - this is the motto of The Methodist Study Trust, which helps disabled Hong Kong students. Seven years ago, with help from the trust, Eva Lok Wai-Fong was able to take up a study course in art organised by Chinese University. Eva is deeply grateful for the Study Trust's assistance, which has helped her in many ways. ''I used to be shy and afraid of people, but after the course I became more self-confident,'' she said. A small, little-known agency, the Methodist Study Trust ensures that the students it interviews are given individual attention and appropriate help. It runs courses on how to apply for jobs, inviting personnel experts to talk to the students about job opportunities. It also runs a study centre in Wong Tai Sin where students can go to work or join tutorials and evening classes. Those interested in helping the trust may send donations to Room 109-110, G/F Lung Tat House, Lower Wong Tai Sin Estate, Kowloon, or call 351-7393.
