Fewer executives needed

Demand for executive recruitment last month fell in five of the six sectors recorded by EL Consult's EL Index released yesterday, approaching the lows of the Asian financial crisis. Demand for engineering executives was the only sector to rise last month, up 13 per cent from July, and came mostly from electronics producers, according to EL Consult principal Alfred Chown.
