Plane speaking

I flew in to Hong Kong from the Philippines and could not help but cringe every time a senior Cathay Pacific crew member mentioned 'Maniler' instead of Manila when making announcements to passengers. She went on further by pronouncing 'Korear' instead of Korea. Oh, and let us not forget the infamous place called 'Chiner'. This manner of pronunciation seems to be trendy to some, but in actual fact just makes them sound foolish and uneducated. I find this manner of speech simply offending and it should be corrected.

I wish the management of Cathay Pacific would brief their staff on this simple but annoying matter.
