Kandy, Sri Lanka: Hong Kong, rugby players returned home yesterday having won the Bowl trophy at the Singer SriLankan Airlines Sevens on Sunday. The SAR, represented by the Pusan Asian Games squad, beat India 50-0 in the final to clinch silver at the 16-team competition. Hong Kong had beaten Singapore 26-7 to enter the final while India scored a surprise win over China to clinch their berth. The tournament was won by Portugal who defeated Kenya 24-21 to take home the Cup. South Korea beat Malaysia 27-26 to win the Plate. The SAR squad were missing skipper Jung Ho Jung, deputy Yong Chi-fung, Ricky Cheuk Ming-yin and Chan Wai-ping in Sri Lanka. They are all expected to return for the September 30-October 1 sevens tournament at the Asian Games.
