After playing lead roles in hundreds of films, Jackie Chan has told us what he really wants to be: an actor. 'I don't want Rush Hour 1, 2, 3, 4, 5,' Chan told Reuters, referring to the successful action movies that have become his trademark. 'Some day I really want to be only an actor. The actor's life is long. An action star's life is very short,' added the Hong Kong hero in Los Angeles during filming of his latest action movie, The Tuxedo. The 48-year-old star will return to Hong Kong on October 7 to attend the premiere of the film, which goes on general release on October 10. 'I don't want somebody to later mention my name, always 'Jackie Chan',' he said, making a yelping karate cry and drawing up his hands in a fighting stance. 'Why does nobody ever say 'Robert De Niro'?' he asked, with another flurry of fists. Why indeed?
