LONDON - WELL, Somerset actually - jeweller Tom McEwan came through town with wife Jane on his second trip to Hong Kong since winter last year. To sell some of his jewellery, he set up shop at the Kee Club, where ladies from all walks of life flocked to view his massive pieces - not for the faint-hearted or fine-boned. But mostly, it was a meeting point for friends who jabbered away - Tania Mohan stepped out early after quick hellos to G Spot boys Gilbert Yeung and Gordon Lam (whose party headquarters is just around the corner from the Kee Club); jewellery designer Daphne Kan (from the founding family of the Bank of East Asia) caught up with writer Sofia Suarez, and Londoner Tamara Beckwith, in town for the Golden Jubilee ball, checked out the merchandise.
