I REFER to the recent debate on Filipino maids sparked by Mrs Yuen's letter (South China Morning Post, July 23). I think we all agree that there are good maids and bad maids as well as good employers and bad employers in this free society of ours, regardless of race. We for one have a perfect maid, Anna, at home, whom we consider part of our family. For those who have had a bad experience with maids, I would like to emphasise that a relationship is a two-way street. Treat your maid with respect and you'll get her respect in return. As people in business know well, if you want delegation, don't expect others to perform in exactly the way you had in mind. Communicate, with respect. P. C. KO Taikoo Shing
