Policemen charged

TWO police constables and two other men appeared in Eastern Court yesterday charged with conspiracy to handle stolen cars.

Police officers Chan Kin-fai, 30, and Poon King-chung, 30, music publisher Mui Chi-hung, 30, and vegetable market worker Chan Kui-tin, 23, are charged with conspiring dishonestly with other persons to undertake to assist in the removal and disposal of stolen cars.

No pleas were taken and magistrate Michael Hill adjourned the case until August 18. He granted the defendants cash bail of $5,000.
