Hong Kong Nocturne
Between December 31, 1994 and January 1, 2000, David Clarke, an associate professor in the department of fine arts at the University of Hong Kong, took at least one black and white photo each day. These images form a subjective photo-documentary of the 2 1/2 years on either side of the handover of Hong Kong - the subject matter of Clarke's latest book Reclaimed Land: Hong Kong In Transition. Twenty-three of the shots, all taken at night, are exhibited. Mon-Fri 9am-8pm, Sat 2pm-6pm. Goethe-Gallery, Goethe-Institut, 14/F Arts Centre, Wan Chai. Tel: 2802 0088. Opens today
