CAV steps away from home base
The mainland's leading producer of high-quality home theatre equipment is looking to put its brand name to the test as the company makes its first appearance at the Hong Kong Electronics Fair.
CAV Audio (China) has been the leading producer of high-end stereo equipment in the China market for the past three years.
But the firm exports only 10 per cent of its products, according to Grant Guo Jia-hua, an export supervisor at CAV.
'We are a big company in China, but we are still very new to the export market,' Mr Guo says.
'This is the first time that we have come to the Hong Kong fair, and we believe we will get useful feedback from many countries. We can learn about the trends in those countries, and what kind of products are popular.'
The company's focus is mainly on audio equipment, with its main products being speakers, amplifiers, hi-fidelity and home theatre systems.
The company's production facilities are centralised in Panyu, Guangdong, where two factories produce amplifiers and speakers.
