Man accused of stealing trees

A man accused of chopping down and stealing 35 trees was arrested at Ma On Shan. A resident of Baycrest near Hang Hing Street saw a man chopping a tree shortly before 11am and called police. By the time officers arrived the 54-year-old man had already cut down 35 trees on the hillside near the waterfront and some of them had been taken out to a motorised sampan.
