Canto-pop singer Roman Tam, who is believed to be suffering from cancer, was admitted to Queen Mary Hospital last night when his condition worsened.
Ambulancemen took the singer down from his Broom Road flat in Happy Valley shortly before 11pm. He was accompanied by two friends, including actress Lydia Shum. Doctors would not disclose the condition of Tam, 52. Emperor Group head Albert Yeung Sau-shing arrived at the hospital at about 11.30pm to see the singer, who has been in and out of hospital since last May.
