Updated at 7.08pm: Pop singer Nicholas Tse was sentenced to 240 hours of community service on Wednesday for a car accident cover-up after the decision was delayed by a bomb scare earlier in the afternoon. Tse's barrister pleaded with the court to consider a sentence of community service arguing that the pop idol had already learned his lesson and had only played a passive role in the offence. Reporters and fans were evacuated from the courthouse earlier in the afternoon after the police received a report of a bomb in the building. The authorities conducted a search of bags and the sentencing continued half an hour later after nothing suspicious had found. Tse was found guilty along with police constable Lau Chi-wai of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice following the March 23 accident.
