The American Community Theatre performs Margaret Edson's Tony award-winning play, directed here by Rick Joyce, about Dr Vivian Bearing, who is afflicted with ovarian cancer. Singin' In The Rain

Broadway Rhythm 2002

A collaboration between Theatre Ensemble and Prospects Theatre Company has resulted in an original tale about three Hong Kongers - from Waglan Island, Ap Lei Chau and Tsim Sha Tsui - who gather on a mountain for a fireworks display. Gardenergala - Crazysmiles

Internationally recognised Hong Kong artist Michael Lau's most recent range of the collectable Gardener series (miniature characters dressed in street gear inspired by hip-hop culture) have been showing at the first exhibition dedicated to a local artist at the Agnes B Librairie Galerie in SoHo. Nirenzhang

The first exhibition of Nirenzhang sculpture in Hong Kong comes to a close this weekend. It features the works of Zhang Zexun, the daughter of one of the most revered sculptors of the Nirenzhang tradition, Zhang Yue. This fifth-generation artist continues the art form, which flourished in the mid-19th century, and features buddhas and sages with intricately detailed expressions, crafted out of clay. The Italian Chamber of Commerce has announced a forthcoming night of caffeine, ice cream and Italian music. On Oct 29, Savouries, Gelato And Espresso Al Fresco takes over Da Luca's restaurant. For $100 a person, there are two standard drinks, mini-gelati and espresso to offer a surge of early evening energy.
