Tom (Beau Bridges) and Carl (Rocky Carroll, above) learn that a war crime Tom allegedly committed during his service in Vietnam is about to be revealed in the press and the source of the story has been found dead. Meanwhile, Matt (Gil Bellows) and Jackson (Will Patton) receive word a visiting Eastern European dictator is near death and they enlist a prostitute to help determine how ill he really is. At the same time, Joshua (David Clennon) must deal with a museum curator when he accidentally destroys a cow costume that's part of a forthcoming exhibit.

World, 11.15pm
Kimmy Bishop (Jami Gertz) presents Ally (Calista Flockhart) with a dilemma. Six months earlier, she was denied the chance to become a partner at Cole and Nyber. She quit her job, then filed a lawsuit against the firm. Unfortunately, Kimmy wants Ally to represent her. This comes as a surprise, given Kimmy filed a lawsuit against Ally the previous week. Even more troublesome is the fact that Cole and Nyber have hired Larry Paul (Robert Downey Jnr).
