I DEPLORE the statement of Mr Roderick Woo Bun, Chairman of the Law Society (South China Morning Post, August 4), that solicitors should not be compelled to make public their reasons for refusing certain cases. If Mr Woo's statement was supported, then without giving reasons, medical doctors could turn away patients, food vendors could select customers, and taxi drivers could refuse passengers at whim. Mr Woo's statement was ill-founded. SHEK CHUN-WAH New Territories
