Couples suffering the seven-year itch now have a chance to find out whether they should break up or stick together. Fox TV is planning a Putonghua version of the controversial reality show Temptation Island, which sends unmarried couples to a hideaway to test their fidelity.

Four pairs of contestants will spend two weeks on a Malaysian island in February 2003, during which they will be separated from their mates. The girlfriends will have a choice of 11 single men to date. Ditto their boyfriends.
