A night of breakbeat hits the newest dance venue in Central. Area is a slick, hidden-away spot which promises to offer a larger version of music bar phi-b's well-loved Thursday night breakbeat formula. Behind Erratica are Dan F, the DJ/producer who runs Hong Kong label, Disuye Recordings; DJ Bodhi (above, left), the creative force behind graphic design company China Stylus and Simon Pang, who was recently head of marketing at London's Kickin Music and the legendary Charly Records, who spins a set spiked with funk and hip-hop. Tonight, 10pm-late. Area, 28 Gough Street, Central (second on the left, down from Hollywood Road, on Aberdeen Street).
