1-MIN READ1-MIN
Four farms have lost their business licences for failing to meet hygiene requirements to prevent bird flu.
Director of Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Thomas Chan Chun-yuen warned that another four farms that had failed to improve their hygiene facilities also were facing closure. New licensing conditions for chicken farms announced in April include a disinfection pool or spray facilities at the farm entrance. There are about 150 chicken farms in Hong Kong.
