I write in relation to the British Council's apparent mishandling of its plans to close its own library service this month.

Despite repeated attempts, by both myself and others, to get any clarification, there remains no definite response on how and whether the early learning collection will be maintained, nor any response to the offers to take over, or even buy the materials.
By any standards, this whole procedure represents a parlous dereliction of duty by the British Council.
