I am writing in response to the letter published in Sunday Young Post (October 27, 2002) signed 'Concerned'.
We are also concerned about the local people in Bali and the lack of specialised medical care available at the Indonesian tourist resort.
We feel something needs to be done, and plan to set up a fund to assist them. We will liaise with someone in Bali to see how best we can help.
If we raise enough money, we would like to send the victims to Hong Kong (or elsewhere in the region) where there are better facilities for burn victims.
We are currently trying to make contact with people in Bali to find out what they need most.
If anyone is interested in this endeavour, please e-mail us so we can organise a small working group to get this fund up and running.
