Hong Kong: Happy Valley were dealt a severe blow to their league title hopes last night when they were docked three points and fined $10,000 for fielding an ineligible player in their 1-0 win over Fukien nine days ago. An FA disciplinary committee nullified the win and awarded Fukien a 3-0 victory. The hearing was told Happy Valley sent on striker Kwok Yu-hung as a second-half substitute - with the consent of the fourth official - despite not being included in the list of starting XI or reserves submitted to FA officials before kickoff. The punishment leaves Happy Valley eight points behind league leaders South China. They have 48 hours to appeal.
