Whose Line Is It Anyway?
The Punchline Comedy Club continues into the week with shows by the cast of Whose Line Is It Anyway?, the hit British TV improvisational comedy show. Tony Slattery stars with fellow comics Stephen Frost, Andy Smart, Richard Vranch and Steve Steen. They act out scenarios suggested by the audience. Family
The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts presents a play by Chinese playwright Cao Yu. Based on Ba Jin's novel Family, it is a love story about youngsters under the influence of the feudal marriage system in the 1920s. The show is directed by the academy's dean of drama, David Jiang. The Tempest and Hamlet
Local drama groups QCC and Theatre Action perform two Shakespearean plays, The Tempest and Hamlet, on alternate nights over a two-week period with cast members appearing in both, but usually in contrasting roles. Both plays are directed by David Booth and produced by Mike Ingham with Jonathan Douglas as Hamlet and Alistair Scott as Prospero. Hamlet: today, Fri, Nov 14-15.
