Macau posts trade deficit

Macau recorded a merchandise trade deficit of 1.17 billion patacas (about HK$1.13 billion) for the first nine months for this year, the Macau Statistics and Census Bureau said yesterday. The value of exports totalled 13.96 billion patacas in the period, an increase of 1 per cent on last year. The value of imports reached 15.13 billion patacas, rising 4.8 per cent year on year.
