Actress-turned-director Joan Chen will talk about her life on November 24 in the Discovery Channel celebrity series Crossings. At the programme's launch yesterday, the 41-year-old got sentimental. 'When you get older, you think of the time when you were young . . . the Cultural Revolution is my most unforgettable experience,' said San Francisco-based Chen, who at seven was left to care for her brother after her doctor parents were sent to the countryside for 're-education'. 'We learned at a young age about the good and evil sides of human nature.' Chen said the Cultural Revolution could be the inspiration for many films. Was this a clue about her next project?
